About us

We are a small business located at Marsalforn Bay, founded by Mr Johnny Cefai. He was born in Gozo and turned his passion for the sea into his profession, starting his small business with a pedal boat and some kayaks in Qbajjar Bay back in 2011.

Soon after, he bought his first boat, added a jetski, and moved the business to Marsalforn Bay in 2014. Thus, the new name of the business was born: Marsalforn Watersports.

Since then, he has been operating from Marsalforn Bay, growing the business and gaining experience through a lot of effort, slowly but surely, summer after summer.

The locals always joke that “summer hasn’t started yet” until we open, and that the bay looks empty without the colourful kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and the smiling children and people enjoying them. Over the years, we have become a part of the summer here, not just for tourists.

A couple of years ago, Johnny received help with the business from his former client and now partner, Sathia Heinicke, from Germany.

Our well-behaved dog Luna is the furry member of our watersports team. She loves riding with us on the jetski and comes to work every day. Being near the sea is her passion as well. She will be very pleased to meet you at Marsalforn Watersports.

We work hand in hand and it is our pleasure to meet people from all over the world here in Marsalforn and make them smile. We want to make their holiday in Gozo special and help them create memories they won’t forget. We hope to see you soon.
